Midlothian, IL (March 22, 2018) – Moran Family of Brands, one of the nation’s leading franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair and driver safety products, announced its newest franchise location with a Mr. Transmission/Milex Complete Auto Care store in Cary, North Carolina.
The Mr. Transmission/Milex co-branded franchise opened on March 1 and is located at 303 Bowden St. in Cary at the site of the former Bowden Street Automotive shop. Mr. Transmission/Milex retained all the employees of the former store and will hire several additional shop assistants. A grand opening is planned for April.
Mr. Transmission/Milex will offer customers in the area a comprehensive selection of automotive repair and maintenance services. Mr. Transmission specializes in repair and installation of a vehicle’s transmission systems and drivetrain components. Milex provides customers with preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repair, and radiator and cooling systems and engine repair along with a full range of diagnostic services.
The new franchise is owned by Steve Sargent. He purchased the store following an extensive career in sales leadership and business development, primarily in pharmaceutical sales. Sargent also has experience in business ownership through establishing a hospital consulting firm earlier in his career.

The Mr. Transmission/Milex store is the third in North Carolina and the first in the Raleigh-Durham area. There are also Mr. Transmission/Milex franchise shops in Winston-Salem and Matthews.
